GAS TECHNICIAN
We are currently looking for a Gas1 or Gas 2 Technician to join our team. Reporting to
the Maintenance Supervisor, our ideal candidate has the ability to work in a fast-paced
environment. They will also be responsible for the daily repair and emergency
breakdown of machinery. This is a 4-day/week full-time position.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As a Gas Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, performing routine maintenance on existing systems, and installing new equipment.
- Perform maintenance, and repairs on different sizes and types of propane burner systems throughout the plant. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety codes and manufacturer instructions.
- Reading blueprints, diagrams and schematic diagrams
ACCOUNTABILITY: Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensed Gas 1 or Gas 2 Technician
- Demonstrated ability to follow safe work practices and procedures
- Able to problem solve and use critical thinking and decision making skills
- Able to follow oral and written directions
- Able to function well in a team environment and to communicate clearly with others
- Being flexible and adaptable
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Having a proactive/preventive approach
- Being punctual and reliable
